Master page: Assignment section

The Assignment section of the Master page is where you determine how and to whom bookings made on the Master page will be assigned. This section differs depending on which scenario you selected for your Master page. The four scenarios are: Rule-based assignment, Booking pages first, Event types first, and Booking pages only.

Requirements

To define the Assignment section of a Master page, you must be a OnceHub Administrator.

Defining assignment in Rule-based assignment Master pages

  1. Go to Setup and select the relevant Master page. Navigate to the Assignment section of the Master page.

  2. First, decide whether the Master page should have Static or Dynamic assignment rules. With Dynamic rules, the associations between Event types and Meeting providers are created on the Master page, allowing for flexible setup that can be different per Master page. With Static rules, bookings are assigned according to global settings. Meeting providers are determined by the existing associations between event types and booking pages.

If you go for Dynamic rules

  1. Create a dynamic rule by clicking Add rule
    • First, using the Event type dropdown select the meeting type you would like to offer on your Master page. Note that Master pages with dynamic rules can only include Event types configured to Automatic booking and Single session.
    • Now, using the Primary team member dropdown select which Booking page or Resource pool should provide that Event type.
    • Finally, if your Event type requires participation from multiple Team members simultaneously, you can create Panel meetings by adding any number of Additional team members. These Team members can be defined by selecting specific Booking pages or by selecting Resource pools. Note that the same Resource pool cannot be selected as the Primary team member and as the Additional team member in a single rule.
  2. Now that you have created your first rule, you can continue to create as many rules as you like to your Master page. The only restriction is that in a single Master page, each rule must have a unique Event type.
  3. Once you have created your rules, you can decide in which order Event types will show on your Master page by reordering your rules in the Display order column.
  4. Once you are happy with the rules and order, click Save. You are now done with the Assignment section!
  5. To complete the Master page setup, continue on to define the Labels and instructions and Public content of the page.

If you go for Static rules

  1. To set up Static rules, first choose how bookings will be distributed among Team members on the Master page. Bookings can be distributed in one of three ways: Pooled availability, Pooled availability with priority, or Find member by time.
  2. Once you have selected your distribution method, select which Booking pages to include in your Master page. Only Booking pages that are associated with Event types can be selected in the Master page.
  3. Once you are happy with the rules and order, click Save. You are now done with the Assignment section!
  4. To complete the Master page setup, continue on to define the Labels and instructions and Public content of the page.
