User action: Cancel/request to reschedule without Event types

When a Booking status is Scheduled, Rescheduled, No-show, or Completed, the User can request to reschedule or cancel a booking directly from the activity in the Activity stream.

Note You can also request to reschedule or cancel a booking from the mobile admin interface by clicking the Cancel/request reschedule button in the activity. The interface is optimized for both mobile phones and tablets, providing an ideal user experience for every device type.

  • When you request to reschedule from the Activity stream, the booking is canceled and a reschedule request email notification is sent to both the User and the Customer. The Customer clicks the Reschedule now button directly from the email notification or Calendar event to reschedule. Learn more about the effects of rescheduling

Note If you are connected to Google Calendar or PC connector for Outlook, you, as the meeting organizer, can cancel or reschedule directly from the connected Calendar. Learn more about canceling or rescheduling from the connected Google Calendar or connected Outlook Calendar

Requirement:

To cancel or request to reschedule, you must be the Owner or an Editor or Viewer of the activity.

Cancel/request reschedule without Event types

To cancel or request reschedule of a booking without Event types:

  1. Click on the activity from your Activity stream. In the Details pane, click the action menu (three dots). Now, click Cancel/request reschedule.
  2. From the Cancel/request reschedule wizard pop-up, simply select to cancel or request reschedule and click Next. (See Figure 1)

  3. Cancel the booking and request reschedule: Provide a reschedule reason, review your input and click the Request reschedule button to complete the action. The original booking will be canceled and both the User and Customer will receive the Reschedule requested by User email notification. Learn more about notification scenarios

  4. Cancel the booking: Provide a cancellation reason, review your input and click Cancel the Booking button to complete the action. Both the User and Customer will receive the Booking canceled by User email notification. Learn more about notification scenarios

    Note In the Cancel/request reschedule wizard - Review step, you can check the Don't send a ScheduleOnce cancellation email checkbox. The Customer will not receive a notification about this cancellation from ScheduleOnce. However, if the calendar invite is used, it will still send an update to the event from your connected calendar.

    Note You can always decide to change your selection before you commit by clicking Back at any step of the Cancel/request reschedule wizard. To commit, you must click the Cancel the Booking or Request reschedule button in the last step of the wizard.
