ScheduleOnce uses a smart autocorrecting distribution algorithm to ensure that Resource pools that use Round robin achieve an equal booking distribution across team members at all times.
With Round robin, each new booking is assigned to the next time member in line. This ensures that the number of bookings received per Booking page is equal. However, if schedule changes are not taken into consideration, the distribution may become uneven. This is where the smart algorithm comes into play. The algorithm ensure that bookings removed are compensated for, meaning that any team member who falls behind will be automatically moved to the front of the line until caught up.
The Autocorrecting distribution algorithm is turned on by default for all new Resource pools that use Round robin so you don't have to do anything. If for any reason, you would like to stop compensating Booking pages for bookings that were removed, follow these simple steps to turn Autocorrection off.
To edit a Resource pool, you must be a OnceHub Administrator.
Using the Automatic correction algorithm in a Resource pool
- Go to Setup open the left sidebar and select Resource pools in the tools section.
- Select the specific Resource pool you would like to turn automatic correction off for. Remember, the autocorrecting algorithm is only relevant for Resource pools using Round robin as the distribution method.
- Once you select the relevant Resource pool, you will land on the Resource pool Overview section. Now redirect to the Resources section.
- In the Resource section, on the right top corner, turn off the Automatic correction toggle. From this point onwards, bookings removed will not be compensated for.
