Offering Event types through a Master page

Event types offered on your Master page allow your Customer to select the type of meeting they require before selecting the date and time. Event types are added to Master pages either directly or indirectly.

Directly adding Event types to Master pages

Rule-based assignment Master pages with dynamic rules allow you to directly add Event types to Master pages. Follow these simple steps to directly add Event types to these Master pages:

  1. Create Event types that you wish to offer in your Master page. Note that you can also duplicate existing Event types.
  2. Create a Master page with the scenario Rule-based assignment or alternatively go to Setup and select the relevant Rule-based assignment Master page.
  3. Navigate to the Assignment section of the Master page and in the Rule types step select Dynamic.
  4. Now, in the Event based rule step click the Add rule button to create a dynamic rule.
    • Using the Event type drop-down select the Event types you would like to offer on your Master page. Note that Master pages with dynamic rules can only include Event types configured to Automatic booking and Single session.
    • Now, using the Primary team member drop-down select which Resource pool should provide that Event type.
    • Finally, if your event type requires participation from multiple team members simultaneously, you can create panel meetings by adding any number of Additional team members. These Team members can be defined by selecting specific Booking pages or by selecting Resource pools. Note that the same Resource pool cannot be selected as the Primary team member and as the Additional team member in a single rule.
  5. Now that you have created your first rule, you can continue to create as many rules as you like to your Master page. The only restriction is that in a single Master page, each rule must have a unique Event type.

Indirectly adding Event types to Master pages

If you want to offer Event types on Master pages with the following scenarios you can only do so indirectly:

In these Master page scenarios, Event types are added to your Master indirectly via the Booking pages included in the Master page. Follow these steps to add Event types to these types of Master pages:

  1. Create Event types that you wish to offer in your Master page. Note that you can also duplicate existing Event types.
  2. Create Booking pages that you wish to include in your Master page and associate Event types with your Booking pages.  Note that you can also duplicate existing Booking pages.
  3. Create a Master page with the scenario Event types first, Booking pages first, or Rule-based assignment with Static rules. Alternatively go to Setup and select the relevant Master page.
  4. From the Assignment section of the Master page, select the Booking pages you wish to be included in your Master page. Note that all the Booking pages with Event types created in your Account are displayed.
  5. You can select to include as many Booking pages as you like. You will see besides each Booking page added the Event type or Event types it is associated with. These are the Event types that will be offer on your Master page.

Note When Event types are organized in public Categories, additional labels and instructions are available for customization.
