Introduction to automatic distribution methods

If different teams in your organization are using ScheduleOnce, each team and each business scenario may have different requirements for how bookings should be distributed. 

For example, your Account Executives may be conducting sales calls, while your Customer Success team may be conducting onboarding sessions. When you use Rule-based assignment Master pages with Static rules, you can define different automatic distribution methods to fit each specific team and scenario. 

You can choose from three different automatic distribution methods.

What are the three automatic distribution methods?

Pooled availability 

The Pooled availability distribution method is Customer-focused and should be used if your top priority is providing Customers with the maximum number of time slots. 

When Customers visit your page, they will see the combined availability of all Team members in one booking calendar. When the Customer selects a time, the booking is assigned to the Team member with the longest idle time, meaning the Team member who has not received a booking in the longest time.

Pooled availability with priority 

The Pooled availability with priority distribution method is a hybrid method which provides Customers with the maximum amount of time slots while also giving priority to specific team members. 

When Customers visit your page, they will see your entire team's combined availability in one booking calendar. When the Customer selects a time, the booking is assigned to the Team member with the highest priority.

Find member by time 

The Find member by time distribution method is a hybrid method between automatic assignment and manual selection by the Customer. This method provides Customers with the maximum amount of time slots and still lets them select their preferred Team member. 

When Customer visit your page, they will see your entire team's combined availability in one booking calendar. Once a time is selected, Customers see all available Team members and make their preferred choice.
